As its name indicates, vinyasa flow is a series of yoga poses and movements done in a flowing series, aided by breath. The constant movement will get your heart rate up, resulting in a very good cardio workout. As it also uses your body weight in the movements, vinyasa flow yoga helps in strength and muscle building as well as creating balance in your body. This is much more effective than training with equipment.

In vinyasa flow, because you are mindful of your breathing as you go through the continuous poses, you will find that you become more mindful of your movements too. All this helps your mind to stay focused on the present moment, and let go of all the things that are bothering you.
