Smitha is a certified Laughter Yoga teacher and has been practicing and promoting Laughter Yoga since 2015. Her first exposure to laughter yoga was through a social laughter club. She was inspired by the concept and went on to become a Laughter Yoga trained teacher under Dr. Madan Kataria, Laughter Yoga pioneer in the world. She is also a Happiness Coach and has completed her certification in the Science of Happiness from University of California, Berkeley. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with specialisations in Marketing and Human Resources from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, India. Smitha has worked in the Media industry for over 10 years before embarking upon journey to promote laughter and happiness.
Through her career in the corporate industry Smitha understands the daily stress challenges faced by corporate employees. She founded Magic Laughter in Singapore and India dedicated to addressing these challenges of productivity and performance. Smitha has experience in running corporate workshops aimed at creating a happy and productive workforce through laughter and science of happiness.
Happiness is a skill that you can build through constant practise. The Reboot Happiness workshop encourages individuals and companies to adopt practices that can boost optimism, increase resilience, and live life happily.
Smitha was invited to talk on Radio One in India on World Laughter Day where she talked about the benefits of Laughter Yoga and how it can help improve general wellness and boost performance among corporate employees.
Smitha likes to spend free time with family and friends. She enjoys reading, listening to music and doing yoga.
